The most anticipated tournament – the $250,000 Luxon Invitational – kicks off at the Triton Poker Series. The rules have not changed: VIP players (whose selection criteria are unknown) invite professionals.

Several Russian-speaking poker players took part this year: Nikita Bodiakovsky, Alexey Ponyakov, Viktor Malinovsky and winner Ramin Khadzhiev in a similar tournament. Triton’s old rival Artur Martirosyan was unable to come to London due to visa difficulties.

The total prize pool is over $28,000,000, but could be even bigger now that registrations for the first level begin on Day 2.

On the first day of live competition, “Vip” and “Pros” competed in different venues. While poker pros pile up stacks in tricky hands, the next room is fun – and amateurs aren’t afraid to amass 400 BB in the early levels.

Today, the realms are unifying and the game is more interesting. It’s about to get even more interesting. Our players have a chance to win, but are in the bottom half:

Top 10 – Sean Perry (217 BB), Paul Fua (121 BB), Jason Kuhn (120) BB Chris Manimaker made his Triton Poker debut and also did well – his stack The number ranked 11th, with 104BB chips.

The tournament will last for three days, but there is always plenty of action waiting for you. The schedule includes Hold’em and Short Deck Main Events, as well as cash games with announced minimums of $1,000,000. On August 11th and 12th, the high rollers meet. Considering how many VIPs come to London, the game is sure to attract multiple tables and tens of thousands of spectators.
